SEACOAST SAPPHOS

MISSION STATEMENT

Seacoast Sapphos is organized exclusively to the purposes of providing a non-discriminating environment and social support network for women. We are a group of lesbian identified women wishing to provide the structure to promote and advocate, an organization whose core values allow for the empowerment of  lesbians in their communities; to associate freely, participate openly, and contribute actively in creating a social organization. By stating lesbians we are meaning and intending to describe female born or legally female who self identify as lesbian, or who may be questioning, self-identify as bi-sexual.

To ensure the viability and the spirit of this structure we intend to develop a leadership / organizational structure which embraces the value of a non-hierarchical, inclusive, women-empowered, consensus-based organization. This leadership will embrace the value of empowerment for lesbians and be representative of the base membership.
